Dr. Adam W. Anz is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist dedicated to serving patients at the world-class Andrews Institute. The Andrews Institute not only treats the residents of Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, and the entire gulf coast but also patients from all over the United States and the World.

Using a treatment philosophy that includes a tailored approach, he offers both conservative and surgical treatments for sports-related and trauma-induced injuries, as well as degenerative conditions. Dr. Anz is a fellowship trained sports orthopedic surgeon who specializes in care of the knee, shoulder, and hip as well as all sports injuries and the application of innovative biologic treatments.

Dr. Anz has an expanded focus on autologous stem cell research and joint preservation surgery. His specialties include novel treatment techniques to repair cartilage injuries, treat multi-ligament knee injuries, acetabular labral tears, complex joint injuries, tendon ruptures, and innovative approaches for managing osteoarthritis.  His focus is on pushing orthopaedic techniques forward with biologics while following the regulations set forth by the FDA.  Current preparations are underway to open the first clinical trial in the United States using a patients own peripheral blood stem cells to improve cartilage repair in Gulf Breeze, Florida at the Andrews Institute.

Dr. Anz was invited to join Dr. James Andrews at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida after completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.  During this fellowship, Dr. Anz studied knee surgery under the famed Dr. Richard Steadman and Dr. Robert LaPrade, as well as hip arthroscopy with Dr. Marc Philippon and shoulder surgery with Dr. Peter Millett.

Dr. Anz has served athletes since the beginning of his orthopaedic career.  Starting as a resident, Dr. Anz assisted with sideline coverage for the Forsythe Country Day School and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.  During fellowship, he became involved with medical coverage for the United States Ski Team and has covered training and competitive events in New Zealand, Chile, Germany, and the United States.  Since returning to the south, Dr. Anz is the covering physican for Escambia High School and assists with the care of the Auburn University Tigers.
